Simple Machine Comic Book Your creative comic will need to include at least 3 simple machines and how these simple machines make work easier or how they work. You need to have a title page, colorful illustrations, captions describing what is happening in your story, and possibly word bubbles. This comic book should be neat and creative. You also need a compound machine in this story that should be made up of at least 2 simple machines. Have fun with this assignment! Neatness	Apprentice Spelling is incorrect, sloppy writing and some pictures are missing.	Average Mechanic Some incorrect spelling, writing is mostly legible, and pictures are present.	Master Mechanic No incorrect spelling, writing is neat and legible, and the pictures are all present and colorful.
Effort	Apprentice This project was rushed through quickly. There is a lack of cohesion and possibly pictures and captions.	Average Mechanic This project was done to the standards of the teacher and this can be observed through the quality and quantity of pictures and captions.	Master Mechanic This project exceeds the teacher's expectations. The student has gone above and beyond and this can be observed through the high quality and quantity of pictures and captions.
Explanation of machines	Apprentice Very few explanations were given for the simple or compound machines and some may have been missing.	Average Mechanic The simple and/or compound machines were present, but were missing thorough explanation.	Master Mechanic All 3 (and maybe more) simple machines were included and had clear explanation; the compound machine was explained clearly.
