iRubric: Student Case Handout rubric

No clear flow of the handout. Multiple misspellings. Handout difficult to follow. No charts or use of images. Information was confusing and detracted from understanding of the topic.

Handout was organized, but side topics were introduced, or aspects of topics were not followed. Readable but either too wordy or difficult to read (cluttered). Charts or Graphics were used, but some were distracting or not explained. Some parts of handout were unreadable.

Handout was clearly organized & stated the objectives which were followed. Text was easy to read, with limited explanations needed. Charts/Graphics were relevant and increased understanding of topic.

No primary studies are presented OR studies presented are not relevant to presentation or are not discussed. Studies presented appear to be randomly selected. Level is at that of a basic topic summary.

Relevant studies are presented, but mastery of content not clear. No discussion of what standard for evaluation or treatment exists or is recommended (or by who). References are usually cited. EBM is presented from 1-2 primary sources (most references are texts, review articles or uptodate). Level is that of a topic guideline.

Primary studies are reviewed with a summary of relevant data. Treatment standards (ACOG, FIGO, CDC, WHO) are included. At least 3 primary sources are used. All references are cited. Level is that of a relevant & focused EBM topic.
