	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Exceptional 4 pts
Title 5 pts Title must be written neatly and used creatively.	Poor No Title	Fair Title written, but not neatly.	Good Title written neatly, but creative.	Exceptional Creative title written neatly and colored.
Descriptors 15 pts Demonstrate 3 descriptors that represent early life of Neanderthal or Cro-Magnon Man	Poor No representation of an early civilization.	Fair 1- 2 representation of an early civilization.	Good 3 representations of an early civilization.	Exceptional 3 representations of an early civilization and a description caption for each representation.
Coloring/Neatness 10 pts Enter criteria description	Poor Did not color the representations or decorate the box.	Fair Colored only 1 representation and decorated the box.	Good Colored or included only 2 3-D representations and decorated the box.	Exceptional Colored and or included 3, 3 -D representations and decorated the box with extra care.
Presentation 5 pts	Poor Did not present the diorama to the class.	Fair Presented the diorama to the class, but was not clear on the materials on the early civilization.	Good Presented the diorama and knew some of the materials on the early civilization.	Exceptional Presented the diorama and presented extra information about the early civilization.
