The educator always has lessons prepared in advance with handouts and/or materials ready ahead of time. Extra activities are always on hand in case students complete homework early. Student work is collected and returned in a timely manner.
Good

The educator almost always has lessons scheduled in advance and usually has plenty of filler activities ready. He/she hands back student work as quickly as possible.
Fair

The educator sometimes prepares lessons early, but usually improvishes. Extra activities are not always ready, so transition periods can be confusing to students. Homework is collected and returned when convenient.
Poor

The educator rarely prepares lessons; handouts and activities are not likely to be ready on time. Transition periods are chaotic and students finished with work are not presented with extra materials. Student work is rarely collected, and if it is, may be misplaced.

Students can always sense the teachers' enthusiasm during instruction. All subject matter is taught with equal importance, and teachers speak with excitement while presenting material.
Good

Students almost always sense the teachers' enthusiasm. Most subjects are fun and exciting for both the teacher and their students.Subject material is usually presented with real interest.
Fair

Students can sometimes feel their instructors enthusiasm, but some lessons are taught with less interest than others. Subject matter is sometimes presented with little or no conviction.
Poor

Students rarely feel that their instructor is excited about the day's lesson. Lessons are dull and uninteresting. Lack of teacher enthusiasm often rubs off on students

Teacher collaboration is always evident between instructors. Teachers always compare lesson plans and share materials. Instructors ask for advice when needed and listen to the opinions of colleagues.

Collaboration is almost always present between teachers. Instructors usually prepare similar lessons and sometimes ask for feeback on certain strategies. Instructors are usually willing to help colleagues.
