Fair Includes Set Design Concept with few ideas for the set, as well as mostly clear answers to the brainstorming questions for each scene.	Needs Improvement Includes basic answers to the brainstorming questions for each scene.	Poor Includes partial/ basic answers to the brainstorming questions for each scene.
Renderings
Detail (x3) (color, size, shape material, positioning, patterns, style, details)	Excellent Rendering is exceptionally detailed and shows a clear picture of what the audience would see on the stage.	Good Rendering is well-detailed and shows a good picture of what the audience would see onstage.	Fair Rendering is fairly detailed and shows a basic picture of what the audience would see onstage.	Needs Improvement Rendering is partially detailed and shows a rough estimate of what the audience would see onstage.	Poor Rendering is not very detailed and does not show a very good picture of what the audience would see onstage.
Creativity (x3) (showing setting, theme/ style, plot/ action, characters)	Excellent Rendering is very creative and would engage the audience's attention as well as help them understand many elements of the play.	Good Rendering is creative and would engage the audience's attention as well as help them understand a few elements of the play.	Fair Rendering is somewhat creative and would somewhat engage the audience's attention as well as help them understand 1-2 elements of the play.	Needs Improvement Rendering is slightly creative but not very engaging . It would not help the audience understand most elements of the play.	Poor Rendering is not creative or engaging. It would not help the audience understand any elements of the play.
Neatness (overall neatness)	Excellent Renderings are exceptionally neat, with clean lines, no erasure marks, stray marks on the page, or sloppy coloring.	Good Renderings are neat, with clean lines, and very few erasure marks, stray marks, or areas of sloppy coloring.	Fair Renderings are mostly neat, with only a few erasure marks, stray marks, or areas of sloppy coloring.	Needs Improvement Renderings are sloppy in a few places and show erasure marks, stray marks, and/or areas of slopping coloring.	Poor Renderings are sloppy in many places.
Color (overall use of color)	Excellent Colors were deliberately chosen and applied with great care to the renderings.	Good Color was deliberately chosen and neatly applied to the renderings.	Fair Color was chosen with basic care and neatly applied to most of the renderings. Some areas may appear sloppy.
