Using items found in your own trash or recycling at home, create a completely new and usable item. Your grade will be determined based on the criteria below.

Used Recycled Items	Excellent Project was made with seventy-five percent or more recycled items. *Students use two or more different materials.	Good Project contained at least fifty percent recycled items.	Fair Project contained more than fifty percent new items.	Poor Project contained less than fifty percent new items.
Effort	Excellent Each student participated in building their invention. Each student brought in items to be used for their design.	Good 2 or more students participated in building their invention. 2 or more students brought in items to be used for their design.	Fair 1 or more students participated in building their invention. 1 or more students brought in items to be used for their design.	Poor Only 1 student participated in building their invention. Only 1 student brought in items to be used for their design.
Finished Project	Excellent Student finished the project with excellent effort and attention to detail. A quality finished piece of work.	Good Student finished the project with good effort or attention to detail. Some room for improvement in minor details.	Fair Student finished the project with some good effort or attention to detail. Definite room for improvement.	Poor Student finished the project with minimal effort or attention to detail. The work would have benefitted from more effort and time.
