Band Performance
	Hardly Ever 1 pts	Some of the Times 2 pts	Most of the Times 3 pts	All of the Times- Excellent! 4 pts
Note (Pitch) Accuracy	Hardly Ever Many notes are incorrect - I'm still not familiar with the tune. (6 or more mistakes)	Some of the Times Shows a good feel for the notes in the piece but there are frequent or repeated small mistakes in pitch. (4-5 mistakes)	Most of the Times Mostly correct with a few errors in pitch or rhythm. (2-3 mistakes)	All of the Times- Excellent! Pitches are correct and has a quality sound for that instrument. (1 mistake or less)
Accurate Rhythm	Hardly Ever Pulse is unstable with major rhythmic errors. - I'm still not familiar with the rhythms	Some of the Times Pulse is fairly steady but there are frequent or repeated small rhythmic errors.	Most of the Times Steady pulse with few rhythmic errors.	All of the Times- Excellent! Steady pulse with accurate rhythms at all times.
Articulation	Hardly Ever Difficulty with tonguing slurring patterns and/or accents.	Some of the Times Student usually follows the articulation marked but there are frequent or repeated small errors.	Most of the Times Almost all articulation patterns are correct with only an occasional small error.	All of the Times- Excellent! All articulation patterns are performed correctly.
Dynamics and Musicality	Hardly Ever I rarely use dynamics and/or follows indications of tempo or style.	Some of the Times Use of dynamics is narrow and/or playing is inconsistent in tempo or style.	Most of the Times Most of the time I play with correct dynamics, phrasing & tempo with only minor errors.	All of the Times- Excellent! I consistently play with appropriate dynamics, phrasing & tempo.
Tone Quality and Form	Hardly Ever My tone and form were not up to standard: limited projection due to the need for a stronger embouchure or breath support.	Some of the Times Fair use of projection and fullness of tone. There may be room for improvement in: 1. posture 2. embouchure 3. breath support	Most of the Times Considerable use of projection and fullness of tone but still somewhat short of a mature sound.	All of the Times- Excellent! Tone is full and well projected. A truly characteristic sound for the instrument.
