Student has adequate knowledge, but often reads directly from notes when asked answers to questions about their field of interest. Student can answer most questions.

Student has good knowledge, and relies minimally on notes to answer questions about their field of interest. Student can answer questions comfortably.

Student seems mostly uncomfortable answering the questions, even if questions are not based on their resume. Answers are short and don't give the interviewer a foundation of understanding of the student.

Student seems sometimes uncomfortable answering the questions, even if questions are not based on their resume. Answers are brief and give the interviewer a limited understanding of the student.

Student seems mostly comfortable answering the questions, even for questions asking . Answers are brief and give the interviewer an understanding of the student.

Student seems very comfortable answering the questions, for resume-based questions. Answers are thorough and give the interviewer a good understanding of the student.
