The presenter sits up straight, in an upright position without slouching. The book is held steady the duration of the presentation.

The presenter is seated in an appropriate position, however body shifting occurs during the presentation. The book is visible to all children.

The presenter changes body positions and/or changes position of the book during storytelling, making it difficult for children to visibly follow the story.

Introduce the book’s author and illustration (discuss what this means). Discuss the front and back cover as well as the spine of the book. Presentation of this information was well done.

The reader ended the book on a positive note and provided a suitable closing to the story that involved discussion related to the book. The discussion created personal thoughts, reflections, or predictions from the children.

there was more focus on readers thoughts, reflections and predictions rather that those of the children..

The reader read all the written text within the book and signified the books ending however there was minimal creativity to involve children as the story came to a close.
