Construction

Excellent

Used more than one wire to create the piece. Attached all pieces well. The wire held the intended shape well. Wire piece very much resembles that animal/creature sketch.
Good

Used one piece or minimal wire connections. Wire held the intended shape pretty well. Wire piece ressembles the animal/creature sketches pretty well.
Fair

The construction has some misshape and dents to it. Connections (if any) are not done very well. Resembles the sketches but artist could have paid more attention to details and shape.
Needs Improvement

Overall construction has a lot of flaws that are visible. It is difficult to make out with the animal or creature is and does not resemble the sketches.
Composition/Contrast

Excellent

The wire piece was placed well over the watercolor. The artist was creative about the positioning of items in the painting and the placement of the wire. There is thought out play between the wire piece and the atmosphere. Space was used wisely and there isn’t any unused negative space that wasn’t intentional. Extremely easy to see the wire piece over the background.
Good

The wire piece is place well, but the artist wasn’t very creative about the positioning. There is some interaction between the wire piece and environment. Space was used pretty well but there are some negative areas that needed to be taken care of. Pretty easy to see the wire piece over the watercolor.
Fair

Placement was pretty much centered and there is very little play between the wire and the watercolor environment. It’s not easy to see the wire piece over the watercolor. Artist didn’t use all the space very wisely.
Needs Improvement

Placement of wire piece is odd and doesn’t fit. It is difficult to see the wire piece over the environment. No connection between the wire and the watercolor environment.
Watercolor

Excellent

Texture was used and used well. Colors are vibrant and true. Values were blended accurately and several values are used. Well thoughtout environment that fits the wire’s atmospheric needs. No pencil marks are showing.
Good

Texture was used but some of it’s detail was lost during blending and drawing. Some pencil marks are showing. Colors are used pretty well and blended out showing some values. Environment used is pretty accurate to the wire’s atmospheric needs.
Fair

Texture was in place but the artist did it pretty sloppy. Colors are not blended well and there are a lot of flat colors. Environment fits but is either way to small or large for wire’s size.
Needs Improvement

Texture is lost. Colors are very muddy and messy. A lot of pencil work is still showing. Environment doesn’t fit wire.
Creativity

I will be searching internet.

Excellent

Artist thought outside of the box and came up with their own ideas. Artist did not mock another artist’s images via internet and photo. Artist was COMPLETELY original.
Good

Artist used photos as reference but came up with own ideas and sketches.
Fair

Artist relied to much on other photos and other artists’ work.
Needs Improvement

Mostly copied ideas.
Craftmanship

Excellent

Art is very clean and clear. Paper is in perfect condition and flat.
Good

Art is semi clean and clear. Paper was pretty well taken care of. Little curling.
Fair

Art has a some issues with the paper being ripped, folded, or curling up too much.
Needs Improvement

Paper has a lot of issues, the wire wasn’t well stored and lost its shape.
