Food Project

Students will cook an authentic Hispanic meal to share with the class. With the dish, students will create a poster display for the recipe.

Dish Enter description	Poor Dish is not authentic and or lacks proof of the country of origin.	Fair Dish is authentic but does not specify the country of origin with proof or the dish is different than the assigned recipe.	Good Student makes the recipe assigned in class according to the country, is authentic and unaltered. Recipe is turned in as proof of the country.
Creativity Enter description	Poor Poster lacks many of the requirements or sloppy.	Fair Poster has the required items, is neat, but does not show creativity	Good Poster uses a variety of colors, is neat, and visually appealing. Think of ways to brink your poster to life! Can it be 3D? Etc.
Culture Enter description	Poor Anything less.	Fair Student only gives a basic description of the items on the checklist and does not elaborate on cultural items. (5 sentences or less)	Good Student gives an elaborate description out loud of the dish considering it's origin and cultural significance(Fun facts). For example, is the dish eaten on special holidays or paired with certain foods? 1 paragraph(must submit with project 6-8 sentences)
