Recorder Karate Belt

This rubric will be used with individual students to score performance and determine if a student has earned a belt. Students earn a belt by scoring 25 /30 or better.

Approching Expectations Few mistakes in rhythm. Please reference your note value sheet. Almost got it!	Meeting Expectations Great rhythm! 1 or 2 mistakes, but close to perfection.	Excellent Perfect rhythm! I know you understand each note value.

Progressing Student can identify "Road Signs" to the teacher, but can not express them in their music.	Approching Expectations Student must be reminded to play using "Road Signs" and plays them accurately after the reminder.	Meeting Expectations Student understands when and how to use "Road Signs", but they are not consistant.	Excellent Student plays using all "Road Signs", great Musicality!!
