French 2 - Video Project

This rubric is designed for a French video presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from unit 1, All About Me. Students are being graded individually. The presentation must be videotaped and submitted electronically.

1. Pronunciation	Poor-0-1 Student pronounced 7 or more words incorrectly, with little effort for correction.	Fair-2-3 Student pronounced 5-6 words incorrectly, with some effort for correction.	Good-4-5 Student pronounced 3-4 words incorrectly, with some effort for correction.	Excellent-6 Student pronounced 0-2 words incorrectly, with great effort for correction.
2. Use of vocabulary words.	Poor-0-1 Students used less than 10 vocabulary words throughout the skit.	Fair-2-3 Students used less than 15 vocabulary words throughout the skit.	Good-4-5 Students used less than 20 vocabulary words throughout the skit.	Excellent-6 Students used less than 25 vocabulary words throughout the skit.
3. Grammar	Poor-0-1 Student had 8 or more grammar points used incorrectly throughout the skit, with little effort for correction.	Fair-2-3 Student had 6-7 grammar points used incorrectly throughout the skit, with little or some effort for correction. Student's use of note-cards for lines was obvious. It appeared student did not understand what he/she was saying.	Fair-2-3 Student presented an average demonstration of French fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines more than 3 times. Student had to use note-cards for lines often. Student's intonation/expression was often inappropriate.	Good-4-5 Student presented an average demonstration of French fluency. Student stumbled over words at times and confused lines two or less times. Student had to use note cards for lines often. Student's intonation indicating an understanding of what he/she was saying.	Excellent-6 Student presented an average to above average performance. Student had few to no issues with fluency.
5. Props	Poor-0-1 Student used 0-1 props in the skit and/or props did not contribute to the performance.	Fair-2-3 Student used 2 props and most contributed to the understanding of the performance.	Good-4-5 Student used 3-4 props and most contributed to the understanding of the performance.	Excellent-6 Student used 5 or more props and all contributed to the performance making the skit very entertaining!
7. Creativity	Poor-0-1 The student presented little creativity in the skit.Student worked poorly, video was late, preparation was unorganized, and/or took away from the overall quality of the work	Fair-2-3 The student's presentation was a little creative, room for improvement. 10. Script	Poor-0-1 No Script	Fair-2-3 Script was incomplete and evidenced minimal effort.	Good-4-5 Script was almost complete, but missing some critical elements. Evidence of concerted effort.	Excellent-6 Complete script with all dialogue and vocabulary well written with minimal errors.
