Planning a Dinner Party

Key elements needed in planning a dinner party. Students will be asked to create a menu, invitations, budget and determine how much time will be needed to prepare the food before the guests arrive.

Invitations Students will create an invitation for their party. They may create a phone conversation invite or a physical invite.	Poor The invitations was missing 3 or more parts.	Fair The invitation was missing 1-2 parts.	Good The invitation included the following parts: time, date, location, number to rsvp.
Time Table Students will complete a time table that includes the prep time and cook time. They will use these times to determine when the should start cooking each dish in order for it to be finished for their dinner party.	Poor Students found the correct time to start 1-2 of their dishes.	Fair Students found the correct time to start 3-4 of their dishes.	Good Students found the correct time to start all of their dishes.
Budget Sheet	Poor Missing information or items are not within budget. Messy and unreadable.	Fair All items on sheet are within the 100.00 budget. Messy and difficult to read.	Good All items on sheet are within the 100.00 budget. Neat and easy to read.
