watering a plant 
Student will assess whether a plant needs water and then using the proper equipment fill the water to the brim of the container and wait for water to drain out of the bottom. If the water is draining then the student will stop. If not the student will add more water and observe whether water is draining. Student will clean up and put all tools away.

Student carefully waters the plant without splashing water or soil out of the container. Water is filled to the brim.

Student leaves more than two tools out and doesn't clean up or sweep up any messes.

Student may leave one or two tools out or may not clean up the floor. Plant soil may not be cultivated
Good

Student cleans up and puts all tools in their proper place. If water or soil is on the floor it is swept up. Plant soil is cultivated.
