Organization and presentation 25 %	Excellent Student is prepared and rehearsed with no pauses. Does not need to use notes. Connects with conversational partner.	Good Student is prepared and somewhat rehearsed. Presentation has very short pauses. Student glances at notes from time to time	Fair Student could have practiced more. Long pauses may interrupt flow of presentation. Student has to rely often on notes or backtrack to a missed point.	Poor Had difficulty understanding presentation. Obviously not rehearsed. Too many long pauses or reading directly from notes.
Content 25 %	Excellent Student completes all tasks given and incorporates other tasks previously learned. Mastery of a variety of grammar structures and vocabulary is evident.	Good Student completes all tasks but does not incorporate tasks previously learned. A small amount of variety in grammar structures and vocabulary is included.	Fair Student completes some but not all tasks assigned. Basic grammar and vocabulary are the base of the presentation.	Poor Student completes some but not all tasks assigned. Development of vocabulary and grammar is necessary.
Fluency 20 %	Excellent Student spoke loudly and clearly with good tone. Spoke fluently, without hesitation or repetition.	Good Student spoke clearly but at times faded out. Spoke somewhat fluently with some hesitation or repetition.	Fair Student was hard to hear. Lacking fluency - spoke with too much hesitation or repetition.	Poor Student was very difficult to hear. Unacceptable level of fluency- numerous hesitations, long pauses and repetitions.
Accuracy (grammar & syntax) 20 %	Excellent Practically no errors. Student shows an excellent command of grammar for his/her level.	Good Sporadic errors. Student shows a developing command of structures studied and may self-correct while speaking	Fair Several errors. Student makes several errors including common agreement errors, but these do not obscure the main points and meaning in understood by conversational partner.	Poor Numerous errors interfere with communication and cause difficulty in understanding.
Pronunciation 10 %	Excellent Student pronounced all words correctly and could be easily understood.	Good Almost all words were pronounced correctly with the exception of a few, which did not impede comprehension.	Fair Several words were pronounced incorrectly--comprehensible with considerable effort on the part of the listener.	Poor Many words were pronounced incorrectly or could not be understood--often incomprehensible.
