Rainforest Review One National program 
The Rainforest program consisted of 60 hours of daily lessons on a variety of topics. This rubric will help determine the value of the topics as well as the revisions necessary to the program

Each lesson plan and activity was well written and standards were identified correctly so that I could understand how the subject matter correlated to the Rainforest and national standards.
Content/Background Required

Was background information needed in the written material?

Poor

More background was needed on over (75%) of the lessons. Not enough background material was included in the written lesson to support the activity.
Fair

I felt 50% of topic areas/lessons needed additonal background and support material included in the lessons.
Good

Background material was availalbe on some topics and not on others. I felt that some areas (25%) needed additonal material included in the curriculum.
Excellent

No additional background material was required. Teachers could pull from their existing knowlege without anything else written in the teaher's guide.
Activities Relative to Rainforest

How well did the activities relate to the subject matter-Rainforest

Wasn't sure how topics related to Rainforest. There was no evidence in the written material to help make that connection.

I had to intuit how this activity related to Rainforest. After studying on my own, I could see the connection.

75% of the activties related to the Rainforest and it was evident from reading the material and with my own existing knowlege.

Lesson plans, activities and layout

Poor

Overall lesson plans and activities were poorly written and difficulut to follow. They were too brief.Graphics were of poor quality.

Lesson plans and activities were adequately written but could have been better if there had been more elaboration and clearer copies of graphics.

Lesson plans and activities were well written but could have been better if there had been more elaboration. Graphics were fine.
Excellent

Lesson plans and written materals were excellently presented and were easy to use. Graphics were excellent.
Supplies

Were supply listings within the lessons correlated and clear?

Poor

Supply listings were difficult to deciper. I had to read into the lesson to figure out the supply list.

Supplies were listed on a matrix that was out of order and difficult to track with the lesson.
