Shading was done correctly for most of the drawing. Some details don't match the original photo reference. There is evidence of middles values, but drawing is missing the wider range of values required to make the drawing excellent.

Shading was done correctly according to photo reference. Student paid attention to all value details in the photo and copied the details to their drawing paper. There is evidence of light values, middles values, and dark values.
Craftsmanship

Eraser marks appear along the finished drawing along with wrinkles or tears on the paper. A lot of the grid is showing on the final drawing.

The work is mostly clean, a few marks and smudges are visible on the finished drawing. Parts of the grid are showing in some areas of the drawing.

The finished drawing is clean, neat, and doesn't contain any marks. Value was added and blended smoothly. No grid is visible on the finished work.
Time

Did not stay on task and use time in class wisely. The finished drawing could have used a lot more time.
Good

Had a few problems with staying on task and using time in class wisely. Needed a little more time put in.
Excellent

Stayed on task and used time in class wisely. Student put a lot of time into completing the project.
