The students gave effort far beyond the requirements of the project. Creativity, effort, use of appropriate techniques with craftsmanship was above average.
Skill

Poor

The student showed poor craftsmanship or lack of understanding.
Fair

The student showed average skill and understanding of artistic techniques.
Good

The student showed above average skill. It was evident that the student gained knowledge different artistic techniques.
Outstanding

The artwork is outstanding and was finished with a great deal of patience. It was evident that the student gained skill and understanding of color, shading, and composition.
Glaze

Poor

The student poorly glazed the project or did not glaze at all.
Fair

The student glazed the pottery but it is messy, not fully covered, and colors may not match.
Good

The student showed above average skill in glazing but may lack some color understanding.
Outstanding

The student went way above average. Glazed pottery is well covered and even. The colors look great together and student has a clear understanding of color theory.
Influence

Poor

The student could not explain why the art was created in that way.
Fair

The student was able to tell why they chose to create the piece.
Good

The student could explain how and why they made the decision to create the piece in the way it was completed.
Outstanding

The student was able to articulate one or more of the influences that inspired the piece.
