You have been asked to take part in an investigation on the subject of "Student Safety at Julius L. Chambers High School"

POLICY ANALYSIS PAPER

The students will work in groups of four to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the specialty selected by the group. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The group is required to present their poster to the class and instructor.

You will create a message to inform your peers about healthy social media use. Using themes from the videos we watched in class, think of creative messages that advocate for healthy social media use. Consider words or phrases that will capture attention and include photos, GIFs, or videos to generate interest in your message. Be creative and use any format you would like, such as an Instagram post; a TikTok video; a poster, flyer, or postcard; or anything you think would appeal to your peers.

Students will research an Ancient Civilization Characteristic (System of Government, Social Structure, Highly Developed Culture, Written Language, Religious System, Advances in technology and Stable food supply) and create a digital tool highlighting their chosen civilization's characteristics. The assignment requires research, creation of an digital tool, and a short presentation to help other students learn about Ancient Civilizations.

Students will create 2 climate graphs (climatograms) for different locations. They will also be required to analyze data and answer comprehension questions related to climate graphs.

Students will create a set of Funko Pop figures of World History

Students will make the origami object of their choice.

The student will assemble a totem pole using symbols representing the student's family/personal story. The presentation must be accompanied by: 1) a paragraph explaining the story the totem pole depicts 2) the finished totem pole with 4-5 animals/symbols chosen.

Students will research information on a specific geologic time period and prepare a brochure to persuade individuals to go to that time share at the Geologic Times Resorts in your specific geologic time period.

Students will create an original graphic novel / comic narrative. The graphic novel should present a story and include graphic novel components.

The student will write a paragraph using the 7 components of EET.

Vocabulary, definitions, pictures and important information about wild animal including its habitat, population community and ecosystem

Students will create a song, poem or rap in which they give the plot of the novel, The Secret Life of Bees

Students are to create an artifact that will depict their understanding of the impact Africans/African Americans made on New York's growth and development. The project is to include a visual and written component. Students are encouraged to use creativity when completing the artifact. A brief written description should accompany the artifact and an explanation of the relevance of this item to our topic.

Students will choose a Catholic who is on their path to sainthood to research and present to the class

Imagine, research, design, and build a model of their future cities, showcasing their solutions to environmental issues.
