Rubric for Basic Social Pragmatic Skills

The students will work on their own to create a 3D model of an animal cell. The 3D model will contain all of the cell organelles including cell membrane and cytoplasm. Students will model the cell and organelles accurately, with labels and definitions/functions, in a creative and colorful manner. The materials the student choose to use is up to them, but the 3D model must be neat and can stand on its own.

The students will work in groups of four to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the specialty selected by the group. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The group is required to present their poster to the class and instructor.

The tri-fold display board should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The project will be designed on a tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

Rubric for evaluating group Google Slide presentations and oral presentations.

The students will create a poster on a Memorial of the Civil Rights Movement. The poster should include an explanation and summary of the event, person, or persons their group is memorializing.

Students will create fictional Snapchat interactions among characters. Students will demonstrate extended depths of knowledge and will include various characters and actions that chronologically depict a timeline of events from the work; use quotes from the text as Snaps and commentary to facilitate philosophical ideals and communication; and use graphics and pictures with captions.
