3D Cell Model Rubric 3D Cell Model Rubric The students will work on their own to create a 3D model of an animal cell. The 3D model will contain all of the cell organelles including cell membrane and cytoplasm. Students will model the cell and organelles accurately, with labels and definitions/functions, in a creative and colorful manner. The materials the student choose to use is up to them, but the 3D model must be neat and can stand on its own. Cell Structure/Cell Type	Poor Model looks like generalized cell. No distinguishing factors of a plant or animal cell.	Fair Model can not be identified as plant or animal cell, because it has characteristics of both a plant and animal cell.	Good Model clearly represents a animal or plant cell, with 1 to 2 cell part mistakes.	Exceeds Model clearly represents a animal or plant cell.
Organelle Function	Poor 0-5 of cell organelle functions are described and defined clearly and/or poorly described, there are errors when being defined.	Fair 6-9 of cell organelle functions are described and defined clearly.	Good 10-12 cell organelle functions are described and defined clearly.	Exceeds All cell organelle functions are described and defined clearly.
Cell Details	Poor The work is done with poor effort. Cell parts and organelles are not detailed, they look like unformed and/or misshapen making them indistinguishable.	Fair The work is done with fair effort. Most of the cell parts and organelles are not distinguishable. More detail is needed in order to identify cell parts and organelles.	Good The work was done with good effort. Most of the cell parts and organelles are distinguishable. Most of the organelles and cell parts are detailed accurately.	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations. The cell parts and organelles are easily distinguishable. All organelles and cell parts and accurately detailed.
