Students write a Spanish Pen Pal letter including the following: name, age, describing yourself, family, school, sports and hobbies.

Compare and contrast the sun with a comet, asteriod, meteor or meteorite of your choice.

Research some aspect of the universe that interests you. It can be a planet in our solar system, a meteor, comet, a different solar system, a satellite, any space subject. Conduct research regarding the subject and write a two page fact paper, construct a visual aid and present the feature and facts to the whole class.

Students choose a heavenly body and build a model, and teach the class about their choice.

Students will create a video or multimedia presentation talking about how, when and by whom some rooms are used in their homes. They must talk about the furniture in the room and the activities or chores related to those rooms in their homes.

Create a blueprint of the layout of your house. Label each room in Spanish and write a description of your house. In your description include where you live, the size of your house, how many floors it has and what is in it. See the list enclosed in the instructions.

Students are to create a master map of their county by using all the locations in their vocabulary. They will add a minimum of 8 new buildings and 8 streets labeled in Spanish to the county map. They will each write 3 sets of directions and 3 sets of tasks using "tu" or "Ud." commands to do and errand at each of the partner destinations in their county. They will be walking and driving. They will all start from their home community.

Students are to create a map of their community with a minimum of 10 buildings and 6 streets labeled in Spanish. They will also write 3 sets of directions using "tu" or "Ud." commands to arrive at 3 different destinations in their community. They will be walking starting from their home.

Two students will create an original poem for their invitee to the Day of the dead celebration. Use any school appropriate topic consisting of 2 stanzas of four lines each. Students put poem on either construction paper or small poster board. 8 x 11.5 okay. Make poem visually appealing. Poem must be in Spanish and use vocabulary and grammar from Spanish One.
