This rubric will be used to assess student understanding on the ID project "Using Geometer’s Sketchpad in eighth grade to learn about rigid transformations and their properties". This rubric will be used along with the student project guide.

Dentists for the Future is a real world application of Line of Best Fit. Students must use the data given to create a scatter plot, draw find a line of best fit and interpret data.

Students will create a poster from a given real world problem that includes what the variables represent in context. Students will create two equations from the given problem and use a variety of strategies to solve the problem.

Students create thier own problem and create a poster that breaks it into parts

Students will use research skills to learn how to perform operations on numbers written in scientific notation. These operations will include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Students will need to create a graphic organizer using mind mapping software in Coggle. Students may choose to create their presentation using Google Slides or Powtoon. These presentations will then be shared using Padlet.
