World Events happen every day! As part of World Cultures and Geography you will choose one world current event and present it to the class. Events can deal with wars, the climate, migration, etc. It can deal with positive or negative events. It should be something that impacts a country and/or a region of the world.

Write a headline and a subhead. Begin with a strong lead. Answer the questions who, what, when, why (or how), and where in your article. Use at least 3 sources/quotes and include necessary stats. Articles must be 300 words. All stories must have a graph of the statistics, created by you. (not copied from another source)

Students are each assigned a lake or a river. They must produce a Google Slides presentation for a guided tour of their lake or river.

The students will take a trip and visit a minimum of 3 locations 3 or more countries for2-5 days each and will make round trip travel arrangements. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries' culture, government, religion, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. This itinerary will then be presented to the class.
