Types of Chemical Reactions slideshow
Create a slideshow or poster detailing the four types of chemical reactions we have learned about this term: composition, decomposition, displacement and redox reactions. You must include the following: - What happens in each reaction with regard to atoms - A proper and balanced chemical equation - One example where the reaction is used in real life with - A picture or diagram of the reaction.

Structure of Atoms slideshow
Research an element of their choosing and create an interesting and entertaining slideshow about that element. The slideshow needs to include: 1. Element name 2. Characteristics of the element 3. History of human use (is there Tasmanian history?) 4. How the element is used these days 5. The element's chemical properties 6. Any other interesting facts about the element.

Environmental Disasters Poster/Slideshow Task
Students are required to research an environmental disaster (e.g. natural disasters: flood, fire, cyclone etc or man-made disasters: deforestation, land clearing, oil spills etc). They need to show how these natural disasters affect ecosystems in particular the biotic and abiotic factors, food chains and webs, biodiversity and resilience and ongoing health.
