When preparing your presentation it is vital that you thoroughly research your chosen monument. Use the following points to research: Factual details about the monument • How tall is it? (how big) • When was it built? • Why was it built? • Who built it? • Are there any interesting facts for the visitor? Factual details for the tourist • What are the opening hours of the monument? • How many tourists visit the monument each year? • How do you get to the monument by public transport? • When is the monument open? • How much does it cost to visit the monument?

The students are to create a children's book or write and illustrate a story in French.

You are creating restaurant for a new American restaurant in France. You must give your restaurant a name (in French) and create the menu entirely in French.

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain information that the students collected regarding Spanish grammar. The group presentation must be aligned with the poster.

Students will prepare a PowerPoint presentation of at least 15 school appropriate pictures of their choice: Pictures can be of themselves, of their families, of their interests, of their future professions, of famous persons or places in town etc... The main criteria is "school appropriate". All pictures will be checked by the instructor before the presentation.

Students will present a PowerPoint project about an assigned French-speaking country

Choose a Famous person who was either born in a France or a French-Speaking Country or had parents who were born there. You will present the major information you learned about this person to the class and include at least 4 visual aids. Please, include your sources.

This rubric will be used to evaluate how a student works and participates during activities (work, class, meeting, assembly, etc.). I have purposely weighted each criteria this way as I believe this rubric will be fairer to the lower level students that are trying to participate rather than those that are largely unresponsive in class
