A How-to Essay is a written, step-by-step explanation of a process. Choose a process that you enjoy and write a how-to essay that will help readers perform the process. (Google Docs or Google Slides)

Students chose a book to read independently for the book review. The review incorporates information about the author, point-of-view, genre, main conflict and the main character(s). The review was also include a recommendation and motivating questions. The book review will post in the appropriate Google Groups. Standards: RL. 8:6: Analyze how the differences in the points of view of the characters create effects. RL. 8:10- Read and comprehend literature at or above grade level.

Students read a book and review the book they have read using persuasive language to indicate the reader's opinion about the book. The reviewer summarizes the ideas of the book and recommends or does not recommend this book to another student based on insights he/she may have regarding the book.

Students will create a text messages to a character depicting the events of the story, "Tell-Tale Heart".

Collage plot and include descriptions

Create a rap to the plot of "Tell-Tale Heart". It should include all the parts: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution.
