Students will use books and internet sites to create a multimedia presentation or newsletter that highlights the impact that the Civil War had on lives today and in the future. Students conduct research to gain information about the causes and the effects, the lives of people during the Civil War. This information to write a creative historical fiction informative/explanatory multimedia presentation or newsletter about the period.

This purpose of this rubric is to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project and group interaction. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your PowerPoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

This rubric is designed to assess the presentation of the group activity. The rubric should consider the performance of the group as a whole, as well as individual contributions.
