Travel Brochure and Itinerary
Create a travel brochure, using PowerPoint, for your designated country in the Eastern Hemisphere. Develop a total cost FIT itinerary for two adults. This total cost itinerary includes all transportation (from flights to ground), accommodations and tourists attractions. See course outline for instructions.

International Travel Project
The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packety' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report.

International Travel Project

The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 countries for 2-5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries resources, culture, government, religion, geography, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a travel diary about their country and then present a brief 10-15 minute presentation to their classmates to go with their research.

POWER POINT PRESENTATION
The PEER EVALUATION RUBRIC will be used by your classmates not presenting on the day you are. Your final points for this portion of your evaluation will be the average rating from everyone who hears your presentation divided by 3. The number of total possible points is 5. The TEACHER EVALUATION RUBRIC will be used by me. Your score will be the total points earned below divided by 1.8. The total number of possible points will be 15. The GROUP WORK RUBRIC PER STUDENT will be used by me to evaluate your progress. Your score will be be divided by 1.2. The total number of possible points is 10. The GROUP WORK RUBRIC AS A TEAM will be used to evaluate the groups the three days that I will see you working together. your score will be divided by 1.2. The total number of possible points is 10. The total number of possible points for the entire project is 40.

PowerPoint Presentation Rubric
This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Students will use the class bolg (Interactive Notebook) to post at least a one paragraph answer to a question posed at the end of the days lesson and any comments about the lesson. In answering the question students should demonstrate understanding of the lesson and make a connection to the real world.
