This play preparation and performance rubric is an evaluative tool for both a teacher assessment and a student self-assessment which reflects class play preparation and performance.

This is a general binder check rubric that will help students to better organize their binders.

Readers Theater Performance Rubric

Plan: This rubric is designed to evaluate a semester ending short story that students create for a multi-grade high school (10, 11, 12) Creative Writing class. Students are expected to meet requirements that exemplify the skills learned in class to create a compelling and well-organized fictional narrative. The rubric is in regards to MLA written forms of English, as well as respecting privacy and copyright law when working with creative works meant for submission.

Civil Rights Movement Story Board

Through improvisation students created informal scene illustrating concepts of character development and improvisational scene structure.

Students have been studying Gothic short stories and film. They were required to create a gothic horror story.

The student will create the soundtrack that would be used if their life were a movie. They are to use eight songs, and write a paragraph for each explaining how the song relates to their life, as well as designing the CD cover.

What is a social issue in Colorado that effects how we live?

Each student will create an infographic to describe the important character qualities of a character in a novel. Students will include 5-7 character qualities, a quote from the character, and a description in 140 characters or less regarding one of the character qualities they admire most. Students may use an image of the character from online, or they may draw/ create their own original image.

Upon completion of Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front, this project will be presented to the class.

You will be researching mythology from a specific culture, design a display of mythology, write on the specifics of mythology, and do an oral presentation in class. Calendar will confer due dates.
