REPORTING STANDARD: Writing Processes and Skills 1. Students will write supported and well-organized constructed responses and multi-paragraph essays to include: a. arguments to support claims 2. Students will produce a piece of writing that is clear and coherent with idea development organization, and style appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. 3. Students will use the writing process: planning, revising, editing, rewriting, and trying new approaches.

PY4 students will design a bulletin board that promotes lifetime lifestyle changes and encourages health, fitness, and wellness.

Culminating Assignment and Final Exam for Grade 12 Students. Students selected a topic they were passionate about. They wrote an Argumentative Paper, defending a thesis with an opinion supported by research from various reference/media types. Citations in APA format required. Purdue Owl on line will help with this requirement

The students will work together to create a poster to describe the solar system. Groups must include information on at least three of the following objects: the sun, the moon, the planets, comets and meteoroids, or stars (e.g., constellations).

Student will create a 3-D model of an atom, Student will include the correct number of protons and neutrons in the correct location for that atom. The student will also compose a Poster using at least 5 facts about an atom. The student will also present a 3-5 minute oral presentation of their element.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Prezi presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Prezi presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint/prezi have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Each student was to create a Prezi presentation to answer the essential question: "What is the relationship between elements, compounds and mixtures. This presentation must be professional, creative, engaging to the rest of the class, and address the assigned content.

Individuals are to build a 3-D model of the human system that they are assigned. They are to include all major components in their model design, neatly labeling each. They are to select an appropriate medium for design. Student must convey the essential information about their system through a notes sheet set up next to their system at their station. Their classmates will evaluate the usefulness of their system design and notes.

The student will also compose a Power Point using at least 10 facts about an atom. The student will present a 5 minute oral presentation, using model and power point of their element.
