Students will prepare and present a short choral reading .

Research the approved topic. Submit one 2-3 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 3 resources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

A rubric to assess a child's ability to tell a story to an audience (not live, but recorded using Garage Band).

Students will demonstrate their knowledge of paragraph organization by writing a 5-paragraph argumentative essay utilizing the writing process of planning, organizing, writing, evaluating and revising.
