Analysis of a Video based assignment

Communication Studio students will write a critique of the video

With a partner, role play an interaction between nurse and client using the therapeutic communication skills that you have learned. Video record a 5-10 minute video of the interaction. The patient scenario can be of your choosing. Provide a brief description of the patient situation at the beginning of the video. Following the completion of your video, watch it back and complete a written analysis of the interaction, noting verbal and non verbal messages (were they congruent?), communication skills used (which were effective and which could be added or improved upon?), and the overall effectiveness of the nurse-client interaction.

The students put together a presentation on a chosen EBP subject.
