Lower proficiency (WIDA 1+/2) ELLs worked to incorporate textual information from The Silk Route: 7,000 Miles of History through postcards. Students were required to add information about trade and distinct features of 3 regions/cities along the Silk Road (students chose their 3 places)

Student is to "write" a diary of a fictional person who could have traveled the Camino de Santiago.This journal or diary can be from 1000 years ago up to today, and needs to reflect accurately the experiences a person from the selected time period could/would have experienced. Use knowledge gained from the research materials to create the diary entries as you think that person would have experienced. You have literary license to make up appropriate and historically accurate experiences. Must be STUDENT ORIGINAL.
