Basic Rubric for evaluation of a single timeline or multiple timelines on the same paper.

This project is designed to give the students an in-depth look at one of the countries areas of Central America and its independence day and flags.

Create a map of a country ( Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, Spain or South America featuring a specific aspect of the continent: Physical features and land forms, capital cities, political boundaries.

Readers Theater Performance Rubric

Write an biographical essay in which you introduce your classmate to me. It should be AT LEAST ONE PAGE in length. Use your best writing skills. (No spelling, grammar, punctuation problems!)

Research your assigned planet or constellation. Conduct research through various websites and books on your planet. Generate a minimum 5 slide PowerPoint. Be sure to include; size, color, placement in solar system, orbit, and other information about the planet. Must use a minimum of 3 sources and you must cite sources. Students are also required to submit a cover slide with their final report; image of planet, name, and title.

Using story elements, plan a story. Write a story that follows your plan.

The students had to create a flow map of summary using story elements. The first box has to include the main character and his/her desire. The second box must include some desire of the main character. The second box must include the problem the character encounters. The third box must include the attempts to solve the problem. The fourth box must be the solution to the problem, and there must be a paragraph that accurately summarizes the story with all of the above elements.

It is important the we develop common rubrics to assess student writing at each grade level. This will allow us to identify anchor pieces at/for each level of the rubric. Then in our PLC meetings we can evaluate and reflect on student work.

This rubric will help assess a student's skills in recognizing fact and opinion and giving examples of each. Students were asked to give 3 facts and opinions about the text read.

The education behind this project is to be exposed to language acquistion through different ways.

This book report will contain multiple paragraphs and will be limited to one page minimum. Student name and date should appear in upper right corner of the page. First: The report should include the title and author of the book and a complete description of the main characters. Second: Descriptive Settings should be included (When and where did the story takes place?). Third: The main events should be included (What happened in the story?). Fourth: Why did you like or dislike the book? Fifth: Would you recommend this book to other sixth graders. Sixth: The report should include a summary of the author's overall message and/or the theme of the book.

This is a rubric assessing comprehension of bar graphs and assessing if graph has been designed properly.

Assessing listening comprehension on a 1st/2nd grade level using wh- questions about a story.

This assessment is designed as a checklist to see if students are understanding and following the listening process. This rubric will help teachers understand where students are in terms of listening comprehension.
