Write interesting facts about the history and activities of the Carnaval from Latin America and present them to the class. You may use drawings, posters, collages, oral and/or power point presentations. At least one of your facts should show a specific connection with European/African language and culture, a connection showing what it means to have carnaval in the new world. You should also include a short paper (1 to 2 pages) detailing in written form the information you provide in the visual and oral presentation.

Students will choose a topic of their interest and write a one page expose. They can choose a person, place, thing, or event. Students will present in class their final paper and image.
