In 36 weeks, Tia will be able to give the corresponding sound to the first 9 or 10 Jolly Phonics letters (s,a,t,i,p,n,c,e,h, and r) which includes the 3 letters in her first name: Tia. (75% of the time) which is a score of 3 on the rubric.

Students will describe the feelings with actions that occur when those feelings happen.

This rubric will be used after the entire unit is completed. The kindergartners score will be based upon their completion of their final 5 senses book.

The class will choose a well known picture or cartoon that is full of detail. The picture will be cut into as many equal squares as there are participants in the exercise. Each participant will be given a piece of the “puzzle” and instructed to create an exact copy of their piece of the puzzle five times bigger than its original size. When all the participants have completed their enlargements, they will assemble their pieces into a giant copy of the original picture on the floor.
