I believe that every child should receive equal opportunities to learn no matter what their family background, learning styles, or any other things may stand in their way.  I also believe that children need to be taught in many different ways.  They should be taught through hands on experiences, lecture, book work, games, and observation.  I prefer to teach through hands on experiences and games but do realize that they need a good mixture of the different teaching methods.  The reason I prefer to teach the way I do is that from my observation more people tend to learn better when they are doing stuff hands on and having fun while doing it.  I feel if you are going to lecture then you need to also include hands on things they can do or find a way to make it fun so that they don't get bored, they will probably learn more that way too.
