My Reflections on Essays

Narrative essay-

    The purpose in this essay was to tell a story about how your name was chosen for you. This paper was easy to write because I had an interesting story about how I got my middle name. What gave me trouble in this paper was finding information on where my last name originated from. If I had more time to work on this paper I would change the paragraphs to allow room for more information. By doing this paper I learned a lot about my name's origin and how my parents chose my name for me. I could of done better on this assignment if I had more time and more information about my name. I thought this assignment was easy and fun to learn new things about myself, and the history of my name.

Process/Description essay-

    This essays purpose was to describe and tell the process of an object, in this case a computer. What worked in this paper was describing the computer. What gave me trouble in this paper was choosing an object to describe and tell the different processes of using it. I have learned after writing this paper that I should have chosen an object that was not as broad as a computer. If I had more time to work on this paper i would change the paragraphs so that I could have more information. Doing this paper taught me to realize how important computers are. I could of done better on this paper if I had more information and resources. As writing assignments go I thought this one was easy, although I felt like I could have written more.

Exemplification essay-

    The purpose of this essay was to explain a certain subject by providing different examples. In my paper I chose the subject of bizzare foods from around the world. This subject was easy because there was a lot of information online about the foods others cultures eat that we think of as strange. The main thing that gave me trouble was finding different sources to research this topic. It was easier to find information from online sources rather than encyclopedias and books. Doing this paper taught me to better understand the different cultures in the world by learning about the types of food they eat, which may seem strange to us. I could have done better on this assignment if I had better sources to research my information. This writing assignment was hard to find different sources but easy because I had a good amount of information from the internet, and it helped me to better understand the topic.
