Art 9-12 - Repetition with Variation Project 
Students were asked to choose a small object and then draw it from many different angles. They were asked to look at the object from many different perspectives. They were asked to use a complete tonal range from whitest whites to darkest darks and to explore a variety of shading techniques using color theory.

Color Theory

Student used a different color scheme in each box to color the object and background. Each box is labeled correctly.

Values and Shading

Excellent

A full range of values were created by mixing the compliments to make shadows and white to make highlights. The objects look 3D.

Some objects have been shaded correctly or the objects are shaded, but without the compliment. Work looks 3D for the most part.

An attempt was made to shade the objects but over 70% of the project is not shaded.

Composition

Object takes up at least 2/3's of each box. Color is applied neatly and consistently.

Most boxes are filled 2/3's. Color is applied neatly for the most part. A few drips and/or bleeds.
Fair

Some boxes are filled. Paint is not applied neatly. Several rips, ragged edges, paint outside the lines, bleeds, are apparent.
