Toddler Snack Demonstration 
Teams will lead class members through the construction of a sack that is nutritious, safe, and fun for toddlers. Following the construction of the snack the team will explain the safety considerations and nutritional value of the snack

Preparation for demonstration

Team members are to prepare for demonstration prior to class period so that delays are not experienced. Work area will be left in organized condition.

Team members did not cooperate in preparation. Progress during class time was delayed.

Preparation was complete yet there was some confusion due to inadequate planning

Planning and organization was complete allowing for a smooth presentation
Supply List

All supplies along with exact amounts needed are turned in at requested time.

Poor

Mrs. Nelson is unable to purchase or acquire supplies do to missing information.

The supply list has been turned in with a few mistakes. These mistakes do not interfer with the purchase of supplies
Good

The supply list is in perfect condition and on time if not early.
Demonstration presentation

Demonstrate the snack in a means to lead a group of toddlers through the construction of the snack. The classmates will play the role of well behavied toddlers

Poor

Team members do not relate to their classmates as if they are the teacher
Fair

Team members relate to their classmates as if they were toddlers, however occasionally a toddler would have been confused or unable to complete the task as directed.
Good

The demonstration was well done with complete directions given at a level most toddlers could understand.
Safety Consideration

Toddlers are unable to recognize dangers. The adults are responsible for identifying any condition that might threaten the well being of a child. Food allergies must also be recognized

Poor

Food and equipment selected may lead to a life threatening situation for some toddlers.

Generally safety considerations were thought through, yet there are still some weaknesses in this area

The toddlers have been provided with an extremely safe environment and snack.
Nutrition

Eating habits are established for a life time and will lead to healthy growth and development

Nutritional ilnformation had many weaknesses. The team did not complete research. Some information may have been inaccurate.
Fair

Nutritional information was given with accuracy, but also demonstrated a simplicity that led to a lower level of understanding for the class
Good

Nutritional information was given with depth and accuracy that provided classmates with understanding, building on prior learning thoughout this course.
Clean-up

The team completely cleans up following their demonstration at the alloted time at the end of the hour. Any clean-up not complete is completed by the end of AP or before leaving school, which ever comes first.

Poor

The lab was left with items not adequately cleaned and placed in the correct location. This will interfer with the next class needing the lab or delay Mrs. Nelson's departure from school.
Fair

Clean-up is complete however it is not equally by all team members. There may be a few items placed in the wrong locations. These errors do not interer with the success of others.
Good

Clean-up is completed perfectly. All times are cleaned and returned to their correct location. In fact, the lab is left better than the team found it.
