During shop activities student does not stay on task and has to be redirected back to area only once.

Student does not participate at all, even when called upon by teacher.
During shop activities student refuses to stay on task or is redirected back to their assigned area multiple times in a class period.

Student does not communicate to teacher about his/her inability to come to class.
Shop Safety Practices
Excellent
Student practices safe acts at all times in the shop and classroom activities.
Student emails teacher that they will not be attending the class that day due to excused absence

Student must be asked to maintain the safety standard that has been set by the teacher or school regulated rules.
Fair
Student must be asked repeatedly to maintain the safety standard that has been set by the teacher or school regulated rules.

Student does not attend class.
Student does not communicate to teacher about his/her inability to come to class.
Shop Procedures
Excellent
Students follows the procedures when using the shop equipment at all times.
If student does not know how to operate equipment they ask teacher for assistance before using it.
Student emails teacher that they will not be attending the class that day due to excused absence

Students does not follow the procedures when using the shop equipment at times.
If student does not know how to operate equipment they ask other students for assistance before using it.
Fair
Students ignores procedures when using the shop equipment.
If student does not know how to operate equipment they try to learn on there own.

Student does not attend class.
