Push-Up Assessment Students will perform a perform as many push-ups as they can in 60 seconds and be scored as follows. 30 points available Rubric Code: Y23BW29 By bencarr Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Physical Ed., Fitness Type: Assessment Grade Levels: 9-12

Push-Up Assessment
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 5 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Quantity	Poor 10 or less push-ups completed.	Fair 11 - 20 push-ups completed.	Good 21 - 30 push-ups completed.	Excellent 30 or more push-ups completed.
Quality	Poor Complete disorientation from the required form... Core disengages and butt collapses on every rep or butt is held significantly up in the air. Range of motion is less than half way to the floor.	Fair Slight rise or collapse in the glute area, but main structure is maintained. AND Chest doesn't go the whole way down to the floor or arms don't fully lock on the way up.	Good Slight rise or collapse in the glute area, but main structure is maintained. OR Chest doesn't go the whole way down to the floor or arms don't fully lock on the way up.	Excellent Core engaged to maintain rigidity in a straight line from the neck to the ankles (butt isn't in the air or dropping to the floor). Chest touches the floor on every down rep and arms are locking out on the up reps.
Form	Poor N/A	Fair No reps performed utilizing either form.	Good 6 points of contact to the floor. Hands, Knees and Toes (4 main points of contact is the hands and knees, following the same structure quality as described above)	Excellent 4 points of contact to the floor. Hands and Toes (knees don't touch the ground)
