The student was able to finish the project but more time could have been spent working on the project than socializing with peers.

The student did not complete the project and it appears to have been rushed and is messy. The student was socializing in class and not following instructions.

The student's project is not completed. The student did not use class time wisely and caused disruptions several times.
Attention to Theme

Excellent

The student clearly understood the project guidelines and his/her project correlates with the story "The Cat and the Bird." The student designed their dog/cat using warm and cool colors appropriately.

The student seems to understand the project theme and drew their dog/cat but used warm and cool colors in wrong sections.

The student does not seem to understand the project theme. The house is completed but barely resembles a dog/cat. The appropriate colors were not used.

The student rushed on project and it is not neat at all. The student's project has rips and tears and or smudges.
Poor

The student did not complete the project and there are numerous rips and tears. The student seemed to scribble all over project.
