Portrait Drawing with a Grid 
Landscape Painting
Students learn how to use the grid technique as a way to achieve correct proportions in an artwork. Students use contour drawing with the grid to create an outline of their portrait subject shown in a photo of choice. Students review and learn how to use shading techniques and media to add value to their artwork.
