Students create block letters of his/her first name, fills the negative space with pastel designs, and uses water color paint to fill in the positive space.

Needs Improvement Student didn't fill square space with name design.
Craftsmanship	Excellent Lots of attention to detail. Carefully traced letters. Color was applied carefully.	Meets Expectations Traced letters well in most areas. Color was applied in most areas but might have a few "white spots".	Needs Improvement Artwork is rushed or not carefully completed. "white spots" in areas where color should be.
Negative Space Effectiveness	Excellent Student used the negative space creating a intricate design effectively.	Meets Expectations Student used the negative space mostly with a solid color with some effectiveness.	Needs Improvement Student sometimes used the negative space. Most of the negative space is ineffective.
