Poor

Student does not display an understanding of vertical sculling and does not use a flutter kick or eggbeater kick to stay vertically afloat for at least 2 minutes.
Fair

Student displays some knowledge of proper vertical sculling and uses a flutter kick or eggbeater kick, but struggles to stay vertically afloat for 2-3 minutes.
Good

Student displays proper vertical sculling technique and uses a flutter kick or eggbeater kick to stay vertically afloat for more than 3 minutes.
Offensive Dribbling

No Attempt

Student does not make any attempt to demonstrate skill.
Poor

Student does not display an understanding for the head-up freestyle swim, and is not able to keep control or possession of the ball.
Fair

Student displays an understanding for the head-up freestyle swim, but struggles to keep the stroke consistently. The student often looses control or possession of the ball several times.
Good

Student displays proper head-up freestyle swimming and uses the wave created by body position to keep control or possession of the ball at all times.
Overhead Shooting

No Attempt

Student does not make any attempt to demonstrate skill.
Poor

Student is not able to craddle ball in throwing hand and demonstrate control. No attempt to scull with opposite hand is made. Shoulders do not rotate, and throwing arm barely comes over the top. Little to no follow through occurs.
Fair

Student struggles to craddle ball in throwing hand. Opposite hand attempts to scull, but keeping body afloat is difficult. Shoulders rotate, but throwing arm does not come over the top. Follow through is inconsistent, sometimes happens towards net.
Good

Student craddles the ball in throwing hand and demonstrates control of ball. Opposite hand is sculling to keep body vertically afloat. Shoulders rotate as throwing arm comes over the top to release the ball. Follow through happens towards net.
