Design Effort design effort is creative/original and demonstrates understanding of the assignment	Level 1 -lacks creative/original design -doesn't demonstrate understanding of the assignment	Level 2 -somewhat creative/original design - demonstrates fair understanding of the assignment	Level 3 -creative/original design -demonstrates good understanding of the assignment	Level 4 very creative/original design -goes beyond the assignment requirements
Use of logo application of logo to T-shirt design	Level 1 -logo is missing	Level 2 -logo is too small or is otherwise undecipherable	Level 3 -logo is decipherable	Level 4 -creative use or placement of logo adds to the overall design of the T-shirt
Color/Pattern/Shape use of color and, where applicable, pattern. Overall shape is clear/concise	Level 1 -poor use of color/pattern / shape is confusing	Level 2 - fair use of color/pattern. Has some shape that can be recognized, but from a difference blends in.	Level 3 - good use of color/pattern. Shape is well defined from background, still may have some difficulty seeing from a far.	Level 4 - excellent use of color/pattern. Shape is clear, concise and helps the overall message and design. Easy to recognize from a far
Overall effect attractiveness of T-shirt, & evidence of planning with thumbnails etc.	Level 1 -T-shirt is not attractive No evidence of real planning	Level 2 -T-shirt is fairly attractive Little evidence of planning	Level 3 -T-shirt is attractive, Good planning	Level 4 -T-shirt is very attractive...I'd wear it! Excellent planning, evidently planned the work then worked the plan.
