Watercolor Landscape Rubric 
Students used photos of landscapes from a favorite place they've been (or similar) to draw and paint a watercolor landscape/seascape. Students were encouraged to use watercolor techniques learned in the previous technique practice lesson wherever appropriate (i.e. resist methods, wet on wet, dry brush, salt texture, washes, layering).

Oberving and rendering, replicating or representing the subject matter of the photo.

Successful evidence of an extensive amount of time spent observing and attempting to replicate the subject matter of the photo using the proper watercolor techniques.
Meets Expectations

Some evidence of observation and successful rendering of some parts of the subject matter in the photo.
Approaching Expectations

Some basic observational interpretation of the subject matter as in the photo.
