Ballet Basics
	Poor 5 pts	Needs Improvement 10 pts	Fair 15 pts	Good 20 pts	Excellent 25 pts
Arm Postitions Positions must be done with correct movements and placements: 1st 2nd, etc.	Poor Student does not know the basic arm positions. More teaching is necessary.	Needs Improvement Student was only able to demonstrate 3 of the five positions and did not have complete arm control.	Fair Student was not completely sure of all positions however transitions of port de bras where precise and clean.	Good Arm positions are mostly correct but student seemed confused on at least one position. Arm transitions where satisfactory but could have shown more control.	Excellent Correct body position and arms are in perfect position Student executed 100% with no hesitation. arms are precise and student shows complete self-confidence with transitions.
Foot Positions Positions must be done with correct placements: 1st 2nd, etc.	Poor Student can only execute two of five positions. Feet are not turned out. Knee was bent and student shows a lack of confidence.	Needs Improvement Student remembers at least three positions, however turnout is not evident.	Fair There is some confusion when executing positions. Toes are not in turnout and placement is awkward.	Good Student shows an understanding of all five positions but does not execute total turnout throughout.	Excellent Student executes all five foot positions with confidence. Toes are in turnout position for each one. Foot placement is precise and correct.
Arm and Foot Positions Arm and foot positions must be done together	Poor Student has no idea of the task and tries to skate through the demonstration.	Needs Improvement Student can only demonstrate two of the five positions. Foot positions are not turned out and knee is bent.	Fair Student does not make transition with both arms and foot positions together. Places one in position before the other.	Good Body position is precise however student seems somewhat confused when moving from one position to the next. Preforms all except one.	Excellent Student has a total understanding of the basic five arm and foot positions of dance. Transitions are correct and flow. Body position is precise and correct.
Team Work Dancers worked together as a team	Poor Student is not a team player and does not get involved with the group.	Needs Improvement Student wants to work with others but seem to be more of a follower. Shy in voicing own opinion and in showing leadership skills.	Fair Student comes across as overbearing, but is willing to work with others.	Good Works well with others but does not choose words wisely when giving critiques.	Excellent Performers works well with others. Offer positive feedback within the group. Excepts critiques from group members and is involved in what the group looks like as a whole.
